Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMANUELA GRUMPELT Entered into rest at the Neepawa District Hospital on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Born March 3, 1920 in Poland. Manuela moved as an infant with her family to Germany where she grew up. In 1950 she came to Canada to the Grass River District. On June 20, 1952 she married Johannes Grumpelt and moved to Winnipeg and later to Stonewall. In 1962 they moved to a farm in the Plumas District where she has since resided. She is survived by her husband Johannes; four sons; Bernie (Susan) of Wetaskiwin, AB, granddaughter Aynsley (Matt), and great-grandchildren Paige and Michelle, and grandson Brady; Ron (Cyndy) of Morden, grandchildren Paige and Braden; Ed (Barb) of Gladstone, grandson Tyler; Garry (Shelley) of Aubigny, MB, granddaughter Jaylene (Kyle), great-grandchildren Daylen and Brandyce, grandson Josh; one sister Ruth Penzel of Germany; one brother Horst Block of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Heidwig Neumann of Germany. Manuela centred her life around her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and knitting. She donated much of her knitting to charitable organizations. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plumas. Interment will follow in the Plumas Cemetery.
